Ibiza "Photographic Tales"

Ibiza, the third largest of the Spanish Balearic islands, is too often portrayed as a free-spirited, club-going island. Yet there is much more to the sun-bathed White Island "...and that is the Ibiza I am in love with," says Sandra.

Photographic Tales attempts to portray a more wholesome, nurturing yet nonconformist lifestyle through fifteen photographic tales, three of which are: Violeta, a young art student and painter, Belinda, the bohemian animal whisperer, and Manolo, the story of a man who makes a living selling caramelizes almonds and necklaces in the parking lots of dance venues and discotheques. Interestingly, this last story takes us full circle back to the island's popularized distinction.

"This is a project that has been on my mind for a while," continues Sandra, "and its importance to me has grown over time." Though as of yet unpublished, images will be complemented by verses of poetry to create a long-lasting memory for anyone inquisitive enough to discover the lesser-known Ibiza.
